Burning Issues

Speaker: Charles Caulkins, Chairman, Broward Workshop
Focus: Discussion of some of the most challenging topical issues facing
Fort Lauderdale today.

Burning issues facing the City of Fort Lauderdale/Broward County include fiscal health, transportation infrastructure, access to higher education, affordable housing, veterans, gangs, the homeless, immigration impacts, climate change, lack of public trust, and the list goes on. None-the-less Broward citizens and government leaders are experiencing renewed optimism and a sense that today’s challenges can be met through creative local leadership. Our Fort Lauderdale Forum Speaker will outline the specific burning issues identified by the Broward Workshop Executive Committee for Broward County. We will hear about the regional need for advocacy, innovation, engagement, and partnership.
