The Forum's Fourth Annual Local Fiction Authors' Panel

Each year, the Forum highlights a few of our many talented local fiction authors in Fort Lauderdale and the South Florida region.

Our panelists will discus their backgrounds and books and also such questions as, How did you become a fiction author?; How do you come up with your characters and plots?; How did you get published?; What is the life of an author like?; How has writing and publishing changed during your career and how have you adjusted to it?
Our panelists this year are:

Diane A.S. Stuckart, who writes the Leonardo da Vinci historical mystery series and is also Ali Brandon, author of  the Black Cat Bookshop series. www.dianestuckart.com and www.alibrandon.com

Mel Taylor, Emmy Award winning journalist who writes the Deadline series of mysteries set in South Florida. www.meltaylor.com and www.amazon.com/author/meltaylor

Plus, brief special recognitions for:

Kingsley Guy, long-time Sun-Sentinel writer and editorialist, who has published his first novel, an outgrowth of his long-time interest in the history of ancient Egypt.

Gene Cryer, former editor of the Sun-Sentinel and author, who is currently teaching creative writing classes and Donna Merganthaler, owner of Well-Read Bookstore, who is hosting them.
